Delhi University is planning to commence undergraduate admissions for the academic session 2017 in the last week of March. The varsity is thus considering the beginning of the admission process two months in advance. If that happens, the admission process will be wrapped up within few days after the declaration of Class XII results.
The initiative taken by Delhi University will give time to the students to prepare for college. The students can register online through DU's official site and can fill up the marks of Class XII examinations once they are out. Usually, DU commences admission process in the last week of May and continues till mid-June. With these timelines, the students only get three weeks time to complete the registration process.

Officials of DU explained that the varsity is planning to initiate the registration process in the last week of March. However, the students will be required to fill in basic details first and once the results are out, they will have to submit their marks to complete the application formalities.
The early commencement of admission process will help the students to avoid last minute rush as witnessed in the previous years admission processes. Students from various boards for which the results are announced in advance apart and those who had opted for a one year gap will be benefitted through this initiative. These students will be able to fill the DU application form 2017 well in time.
