According to Neeraj Hatekar, who is a part of the Economics Board of Studies in Mumbai University and also teaches Economics in the university, this newly introduced Economic Survey will be a basic text for the Indian Economy course. The course will be divided into two sections:

  • Structural Issues
  • Contemporary Issues

It will cover current and policy matters. He also added that it will be available for free and also in Hindi. The reason for introducing this course is because the students were not able to connect with the everyday problems due to the previously outdated syllabus. The new syllabus will be gathered into four chapters including the several themes. Mr. Hatekar had also ensured that an expert will be called for deciding the chapters.
