EDUGILD, India’s first EdTech start-up based in Pune has tied up with one of the premier institutions of the country, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). The partnership is done in an attempt to offer support and means to promote EdTech start-ups within VIT and EDUGILD environment.
The aim of this partnership is to assist the start-ups to combine EdTech knowledge, technology, strategy and business acumen in order to help them scale up their organization. The collaboration is done specifically between EDUGILD and VIT’s Tech Business Incubator (TBI) so that all the workshops, supervision and mentoring can be provided to all the ideas that originate over there and build out opportunities from them.

VIT Vellore and EDUGILD have set a team in place that will be responsible for engaging with whatever activity is taking place at the centre and report the progress that is being made with regards to different projects.
Shedding light on the association, Dr. Sekar Viswanathan, Ph.D., Vice President said that VIT has always been upright in promoting creativity and innovative ideas in the Higher Education sphere. He also added that the partnership with EDUGILD will provide them the opportunity to get to know the new age Edtech start-ups that
are
going to beneficial for both the partners.
Rishi Kapal, CEO, Edugild, also talked about this partnership and said that since technology is essential for knowledge management, it adds value to the purpose of both EDUGILD and VIT Vellore and makes Edtech even more prominent.
EDUGILD has started inviting applicants for its second batch of the accelerator programme that it offers. It will commence from August 2016 and VIT-TBI will also be a central body in supporting the program.
