Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) established its first School of Engineering earlier this year. The varsity has further clarified that the new engineering wing of JNU will start offering courses from the academic session 2018-19. With the approval of ordinance associated with School of Engineering by Academic Council on May 18, 2018, the varsity has initiated the process of admission for various engineering courses offered by JNU’s School of Engineering.
Dual Degree Engineering Courses at JNU School of Engineering:
- B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering – M.Tech/ M.S in Technology/ Science/ Humanities/ Social Science
- B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering – M. Tech/ M.S in Technology/ Science/ Humanities/ Social Science
- B.Tech in Chemical Engineering - M. Tech/ M.S in Technology/ Science/ Humanities/ Social Science
- B.Tech in Civil & Environmental Engineering - M. Tech/ M.S in Technology/ Science/ Humanities/ Social Science
- B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering - M. Tech/ M.S in Technology/ Science/ Humanities/ Social Science

JNU Engineering Admission Process 2018:
- The School of Engineering will enroll 50 students in each stream for its five-year Dual Degree B.Tech M.Tech/ M.S degree in Technology/ Science/ Humanities/ Social Science.
- Students who wish to take admission in JNU’s School of Engineering must participate in JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) 2018 .
- All JEE Main qualified candidates are eligible for the admission.
