The results of Common Aptitude Test or CAT 2016 released on January 9, 2017. The results surprised everyone as engineering students dominated the top ranks. As per the report that was given by Prof. Rajendra Bandi, Convenor of CAT 2016, a total number of 20 candidates secured 100 percentile and surprisingly all of them male engineers. On the other hand, girls too scored 100 percentile sectionally. However, they are from the non-engineering background.

Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore intimated regarding the announcement of result and percentile to the students through text messages. Around 1.95 lakh students took CAT 2016 examination which was held on December 4, 2016.
In CAT 2016, Yash Choudhari, a Kolhapur student who is pursuing final year B.Tech secured 100 percentile, and emerged as a topper. Similarly, Avidipto Chakraborty, a Kolkata student also emerged as a topper by scoring 100 percentile. He revealed that he had taken around 83 mock tests before the examination.
CAT 2016 results brought joy among the students who put in sincere and dedicated efforts to prepare for the examination. Now, the candidates are getting ready for the next stage of the admission process - GD and PI rounds.

Now, the qualified candidates need to work with the same tempo to receive success in Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. The names of the shortlisted candidates for the next stage of admission process will be published on the official site in a day or two.
Most of these candidates are expecting calls from top-B schools in India, the popular ones being IIM-A , IIM-B and IIM-C .
