Students of the Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology and Management under the forum Vyomotkarsh celebrated the World Health Day on its Lucknow campus. A blood donation camp, a full body check-up and an eye checkup were organised in collaboration with an eye hospital.
Students in large numbers participated with about 60 of them donating blood and scores of students coming for body checkup.
On the occasion Dr Seethalekshmi K, director, BBDNITM, Dr SMK Rizvi, dean, Students’ Welfare, BBD Group, and Jaya Tiwari, head, Socio-cultural department, appreciated students’ enthusiasm.
Appreciating the endeavour, Vice-Chancellor, BBDU, AK Mittal ensured all infrastructural support for such events in future.
BBDNITM renders B.Tech, BCA, MCA, MBA, BBA, B.Com, M.Tech courses. The college is located in Lucknow and is one of the leading institutes in Uttar Pradesh. Affiliated to GBTU, the institute has been named after an Ex-Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Late Babu Banarsi Das Ji.
The institute is one of the institutes that come under the umbrella of Babu Banarasi Das Group of Educational Institutions (BBDGEI). The college is an effort that was established in the fond memory of the noble soul Babu Banarasi Das Ji, Ex-Chief Minister, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. Having inherited his legacy, the Institute has established and now offers engineering and management programs recognized by AICTE. It was established in 1998, and its prime objective was to develop leadership abilities and professional attitude in students.
