Dr. Sudhendar H Rao Professor of Information Systems & Dean – Student Affairs MYRA School of Business Meet Dr. Sudhendar H Rao, Professor of Information Systems • Dr. Sudhendar Rao is Professor of Information Systems & Dean— Student Affairs, MYRA School of Business brings considerable years of experience and expertise in diverse domains and functional areas having worked in major global companies both in the US and India. • He began his career in marketing at Sonata Software, Bangalore after obtaining his Post Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering from NITIE, Mumbai. • He obtained his PhD in Decision Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute — top ranked Engineering Institute in the US. • He then worked in the US for a consulting role in KPMG Consulting, Washington DC, USA and later as Technology Officer, JP Morgan Chase, NYC, USA. • He returned to India in 2008 and worked as IT Architect at Honeywell International, India, for nearly five years before joining MYRA in July 2013. • He teaches courses on e-Commerce, Global Competitiveness and others. His area of research include Decision Making & Decision processes, Cryptography, Technology Trends, and others. He has considerable publications in leading Information Systems related Journals. • Dr. Rao spent the summer of 2015 as Visiting Professor at the University of the South Pacific (USP) in Suva, Fiji with the Graduate School of Business of USP.
