The Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) - will hold its 35th annual convocation on May 30 in the Tribhuvandas Patel Auditorium of the National Dairy Development Board in milk city Anand where Nitin Gadkari Nitin Gadkari, union minister of road transport and highways and shipping to be the chief guest on the occasion.
“ Gadkari would deliver the convocation address where IRMA's chairman, board of governors, faculty and graduating students of IRMA will take part in the convocation procession,” said an official of IRMA.
While adding to that he said, “On that day students will be awarded the post graduate diploma in rural management (PGDRM) and fellow programme in rural management (FPRM). While Vasanthis Memorial Gold Medal will be awarded to the topper of the 35th batch of PGDRM.”
In order to groom rural managers IRMA was set up in 1979 by India's milkman late Dr Verghese Kurien - the father of white revolution. Kurien was pioneering academic institution in rural management education and research.
