A five-day workshop on “Impersonal, Interpersonal and Hyperpersonal communication at work” is to be conducted at Indian Institute of Management – Kozhikode ( IIM-K) from December 19.
The course, part of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) sponsored Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN), will be conducted to enhance the principles and practice of effective communication by analyzing the communication context and dynamics of relational status to delivering ideas.
Participants will be given a broader knowledge on how to identify their own stereotypes, prejudices, and communication behavior that can create barriers to impersonal, interpersonal, and hyperpersonal relationships.
The main aim is to enhance communication skills and to use the same in the field ahead. The workshop would be jointly conducted by Prof Anupam Das of IIM-K, Prof Richard Buttny of Syracuse University and Prof Jodi Cohen of Cornell University (both USA), said a press release from the Institute.
