Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited application for NDA-II exam for selection of the candidates in the India defence services- Army, Naval Force and Air Force for the year -2016.
The exam is scheduled to be held on September 19 to fill in a total of 410 vacancies, including 355 NDA vacancies, which includes 208 in Army, 55 in Navy and 92 in Air Force. Besides that as many as 55 vacancies in Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme) will also be filled up.
Selection Process –
Eligible candidates will have to appear in the written exam. The qualifying candidates of NDA 2016 are called for SSB Interview. There are two stages in the examination. Stage I contains Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT). Stage II comprises Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and Conference at the SSB centres.
NDA 2016 Exam Pattern -
The duration of the examination is 5 hours and it is conducted in around 41 cities across India. The exam comprises questions from Mathematics and General Ability, with as many as 900 marks. Negative Marking is applicable in the written exam. One-third mark allotted to the question is deducted for a wrong response marked by the candidate .
Eligibility Criteria–
The applicants must be a citizen of India. Unmarried male candidates qualified 10+2 board exam and appearing for the 12th exam must be born between January 2, 1998, and January 1, 2001. Candidates must check their eligibility for the recruitment exam before applying for the same.
Application Form–
The application procedure is a two-step process, through which candidates have to fill in the online applications and remit a payment of application fee of Rs. 100 only. The mode of payment of fee can be Bank Challan or Online through Net Banking facility of State Bank of India or via SBI Debit/Credit Cards.
