The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be conducted on September 18. All aspiring candidates who qualify the eligibility criteria must enroll for the examination on the official website. The last date of the application process is July 18.
Exam Pattern:
Paper 1 will comprise of 150 multiple choice questions. The subjects that will be asked in the exam are:
- Child Development and Pedagogy
- Language 1 (compulsory)
- Language 2 (compulsory)
- Mathematics
- Environmental Studies
Paper 2 will also comprise of 150 multiple choice questions based on Child Development & Pedagogy and Language 2, both of which are compulsory subjects. Apart from this, candidates who have applied for Mathematics, Science or social studies/social science teachers post will also have mathematics, science and social studies/social science subjects respectively.
Levels of Exam:
- Paper 1: The first paper is for people who intend to be a teacher for classes first to five.
- Paper 2: Is for candidates aspiring to be teachers of higher classes, i.e. for class six to eight.
Note: Candidates who are applying to be a teacher for both the level of classes, i.e. 1 to 5 and for classes 6 to 8 will have to qualify both levels of the exam, i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
CBSE CTET 2016 results will be announced in the second week of November.
