A permanent exhibition has been put up at Nava Nalanda university put up on Chinese monk and traveller Xuanzang. Xuanzang is popular in India as Hiuen Tsang - at the Xuanzang Memorial Hall.
'The Pilgrimage Legacy of Xuanzang' explains legacy and the whole life of Hiuen Tsang who had visited India during the rule of the famous King Harsvardhana to gather Buddhist manuscripts from the ancient Nalanda World University. The exhibition seeks to depict Hiuen Tsang's life using eighteen maps and several photographs.
The conceptualisation and development of the exhibition have been done by Aparajita Goswami and Deepak Anand, a senior researcher at Nava Nalanda Mahavihara.
The exhibition envisions to generate an awareness about the important and lesser known Buddhist places.
