Is 50 a Good Percentile in JEE Main 2024?

For General, OBC, and EWS categories, the minimum cutoff to be eligible for NIT, IIIT, and GFTI counselling will be higher than the 50 percentile, around the 70 to 75 percentile range. Furthermore, the cutoff for the eligibility for JEE Advanced examination will be higher than the 70 to 75 percentile range as well. The same is likely to be the case of SC/ST candidates as well. Therefore, a score of 50 percentile is not a good percentile in JEE Main 2024.

As the best score among the two sessions will be considered instead of an average score, candidates can aim to score better in April session without letting the result of Session 1 drag them down. Study the topics you faced an issue within Session 1. Attempt to improve speed, accuracy, and basic concepts. Solve previous years' papers and mock tests.
