Recently Rajasthan Public Service Commission took three major decisions related to the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS)-2013 in the light of a Rajasthan High Court order.
RPSC decided that an expert view will be taken on the three questions of controversy. Thereafter, they will be deleted from the RAS preliminary Examination 2013. The commission will delete three questions from the RAS preliminary exam after taking opinion from an experts committee. The result of RAS Prelims - 2013 preliminary was declared in January and the commission had decided to organize the RAS - 2013 mains exams in February.
The commission has received objections to the three questions from the candidates and therefore an expert view is important to delete them from the question paper said an RPSC official. RPSC also decided that after deleting these questions, a new extended result of the prelims exams will be announced. The previous result will remain intact and no change will be made in that, and those who would qualify in the extended result will be allowed to sit in the main examination. The commission also decided that, the RAS mains exams - 2013, which was scheduled from February 25, will be held from 9 April to 12 April.
The deletion of three questions will affect the result of about 20,000 candidates who will come in the range of qualifying the exam in the new extended result.
