QIS Engineering College organized Faculty Development Program on 14-May-2016. Director of Solar Innovative Systems Private Limited, Mr. LV Ram Prasad delivered the guest lecture. He spoke about the need of change in the education system.
He said, “The syllabus of B.Tech has to be developed on the basis of Industrial knowledge. The syllabus has to focus more on Industrial knowledge rather than bookish knowledge. Students have to undergo various experiences related to industry. Especially the students of mechanical and electronics department must have more practical biased learning than classroom teaching. There is a lot of demand for the candidates who have lot of practical experience”.
College chairman, NS Kalyana Chakravarthy said that “The College has been granted autonomous status in the year 2008. Since than the college has been consistently working to provide best academic standards. Now the college has decided to change the syllabus which focuses on practical way of approach rather than class room teaching. The college has decided to conduct industrial visits thrice a year from the academic year 2016-2017”. The faculty development program will be conducted for one week.
The program was attended by the college principal, Dr. Veera Swamy, faculty members and others.
