The Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (FIED) at IIM Kashipur has launched its Entrepreneurship Development Program, VIKAS. The program looks at building entrepreneurial competencies by discussing real-life case studies in sessions conducted by IIM professors. This will help the business owners and corporate employees to build upon their leadership skills and inculcate and entrepreneurial culture in the company through market analysis.
Professor Safal Batra states that the program’s objective was to link FIED, IIM Kashipur with the local industries and to resolve the issues of Uttarakhand and Udham Singh Nagar district.

Professor KN Badhani said that just the way Science students have access to labs to do experiments, for management students, society is a lab wherein they can experiment and learn new things in the process. This collaboration will also help in managing the resources in Uttarakhand efficiently.

With the help of FIED, IIM Kashipur is aiming at reaching out to the stakeholders with the objective of Innovation, Entreprenurship and Development with Innovation being the main focus. The programme is for 8 weekends and will witness network building programs and mentorship by the participants from national and local companies as well as industry experts. IIM Kashipur offers Post Graduate Programme in Management, Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management, a Fellowship Programme in Management and a doctoral Executive Fellowship Programme in Management. IIM Kashipur was ranked 20 in India by NIRF.
