The Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) rankings have dropped in the Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking 2017. According to the new list, the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) offered by IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore has dropped from the top 20 to top 30 in the FT’s Masters in Management Ranking.
However, the top three IIMs i.e. IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta have featured amongst the top 30 b-schools in the Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking 2017.

The Masters in Strategy and International Management (SIM) programme offered by the Switzerland's University of St. Gallen's has been placed on the top for the seventh consecutive year in 2017.

Managing Director of the SIM programme, Prof. Dr. Omid Aschari said that students are challenged to find creative solutions in order to deal with an increasingly diverse business environment.
Financial Times surveyed 95 higher education institutions to compose the list of top institutes offering Masters of Management courses across the world.
Various factors are taken into account by FT while surveying these institutes including the international course experience provided by them, mobility, value for money, diversity and success in job placement.

Ranks of IIMs have also dropped in the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2017 that were released earlier this year. IIM Ahmedabad, Indian School of Business (ISB) and IIM Bangalore were ranked in the top 50 b-schools in this list.
