Former President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has delivered his first lecture on Public Policy for Inclusive Development at IIM Ahmedabad. Teaching, writing and reading is his passion which is why he is willing to take up the unique initiative.
Former President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has taken up a new role, i.e., teaching with a motive to give lessons and valuable insights to the management students of IIM Ahmedabad . Former President will take six classes at IIM Ahmedabad on Public Policy from September 2018 and will continue his teaching assignment in October and November. Teaching is one of the favourite professions of Pranab Mukherjee.
On September 18, 2018, Pranab Mukherjee has delivered his first lecture on Public Policy for Inclusive Development' at IIM Ahmedabad. The Former President of India is now the Visting Faculty at IIM Ahmedabad, and his lectures on Public Policy will add more value to the career of students.
JSW School of Public Policy at the IIM Ahmedabad launched a new course that deals with a wider overview of the interplay between the system of parliamentary democracy in India and the desired end of inclusive development. The new course has been titled as “Public Policy for Inclusive Development of India”.

As a part of the new course, former President of India, Pranab Mukherjee will take classes on the following themes: -
- Articulating Policy and Institutional Agenda for Future Transformation of India
- Policy and Institutional Intervention for Financial Inclusion: A Legacy to be Built Upon
- Constitutional Provisions for Socio-economic Inclusivity: Theory and Parliamentary Practice
Recently, Pranab Mukherjee authored books on Politics that deal with coalition years, turbulent years and dramatic decade. Besides teaching, reading and writing is his passion as well.

The 83-year-old Pranab Mukherjee has been busy with a lot of reading, meeting new people from diverse background and writing after demitting the office of the President of India in 2017. At present, he is working on his new book that will be ready in the next four to five months.
IIM Ahmedabad is one of the premier management institutes in India that aims to give more exposure and knowledge to students by conducting guest lectures, seminars, workshops etc. The institute has been conducting numerous events to promote quality management education. It also supports start-ups and entrepreneurship to encourage students to turn into job givers instead of job seekers.
