Maharashtra B.Sc Agriculture Seat Allotment 2022 will be released through the candidate login at ug.agriadmissions.in on October 17, 2022, after 5:30 PM. Post the seat allotment, as the mandatory online-reporting process, the candidates can Freeze, Float, or Refuse their allotted seat. These options and the steps to be taken after selecting these options are elaborated in detail below:

What is 'Freeze' after Maharashtra B.Sc Agriculture Seat Allotment 2022?

Freeze means that the candidate does not wish to further modify their seat or go for higher options in the next round. If the candidate is satisfied with their allotted seat, they must Freeze their seat by online self-reporting to retain it. Such candidates shall visit the allotted institute within the given dates to take admission at the institute allotted to them.

The candidates who have been allotted Preference 1 as per their option form will have their seats Auto-Freezed i.e., it is mandatory for such candidates to take admission at their allotted institute. If failed to do so within the given dates, such candidates will not be considered for future counselling rounds.

What is 'Float' after Maharashtra B.Sc Agriculture Seat Allotment 2022?

Float refers to the candidate’s willingness to go for the next counselling round i.e., if a candidate selects the Float option, their current seat allotment will be retained but they will be considered for higher preferences in the next round. If the seat is upgraded for the next round for Float candidates, their allocation of the current round will automatically be cancelled and there will be no claim to it afterwards. Such candidates must take admission at their newly allotted institute or go again for the next round (Round 3).

The float option is available for Rounds 1 and 2 while for Round 3, all seats will auto-freeze. Similarly as stated above, candidates allotted their first preference will not have the Float option.

What is the 'Refuse' Option after Maharashtra B.Sc Agriculture Seat Allotment 2022?

Similar to that of Float, the Refuse option allows the candidate to go for the next counselling round but unlike Float, the candidates who opt Refuse option will have no claim to their currently allotted seat. Their current seat allocation will then be treated as a vacant seat for other candidates. The refuse option is not available for the candidates allotted their first preference.

For further seat allotments, the choice preferences (other than the refused option) will be considered. But if such candidates are not allotted a seat in Round 2 or 3, then they will have no claim to any seat. Thus, it is advised to go for the float option than refuse the seat altogether.

Important Note:

  • Any candidates who have been allotted Preference 1 or who have voluntarily selected the Freeze or Float option must report at their allotted institute from October 18 to 20, during working hours to confirm their seat. Otherwise, their allotted seats will be treated as vacancies to be filled in during the next round.
  • Freeze candidates will have to take admission by paying the college fees and verifying their documents.
  • Float candidates shall get their documents verified and post successful verification, pay the non-refundable Seat Acceptance Fee (INR 1000/-) to retain their seat allocation.
  • Refuse candidates are not required to visit the allotted institute.
  • Non-payment of the seat acceptance fee will lead to the cancellation of the allotment.
  • Candidates whose documents are once verified need not visit the allotted institute again during Round 2 if the Float option is chosen again. If Freeze is selected, the candidate must visit in person to take admission.
