After the GATE 2017 results were released yesterday (26th March 2017), candidates were eagerly awaiting the score cards. Finally, the conducting body of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 - IIT Roorkee has also released the score cards on the official website of the exam. The score cards will be available for download until 5th May 2017.
With the GATE 2017 scores, candidates can seek admission for postgraduate courses (M.Tech, Ph.D. etc.) in IITs and/or IISc Bangalore plus other universities and institutes, or apply for various job opportunities in the Public Sector Undertakings, popularly known as PSUs.

All PSUs that will screen candidates basis their GATE 2017 score will release separate advertisements and notifications which shall be kept an eye on. GATE 2017 scores will be valid for a period of five years.
This year, approximately 9.23 lakh candidates appeared for the test as against 8.18 lakh last year in 2016. GATE is an aptitude exam which is conducted in 23 different streams or disciplines under engineering and sciences. The final score is calculated out of a total of 100.
