GATE 2024: List of 2nd Paper Combination for Civil Engineering (CE)GATE 2024: Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore is the competent authority that will conduct the GATE 2024, applications for which are commencing on August 24, 2023. This year, there are 28 primary papers that can be opted in combination with the second paper, if required. It is not mandatory to appear for the second paper. However, if opted, the candidate must select the Paper 2 subjects as per the provided combinations only. These combinations are based on the Paper 1 or Primary paper choice of the candidate. For Civil Engineering (CE) as the Primary paper, the list of the subjects that can be opted for as the Secondary paper is given below in detail along with their subject codes.

It is important to note that any additional subjects irrespective of the combinations given by IISc will not be displayed in the application form. However, based on the infrastructure and feasibility to conduct the exam, IISc Bangalore may add more subjects to GATE 2024 two paper combination but the same is not confirmed. In case required, the candidate may have to travel to another centre in the same city to take the second paper.
