GATE Answer Key Release Date 2024: The IISc Bangalore will release the GATE 2024 answer key on February 21, 2024, for 30 papers in online mode. The authority will publish the set-wise answer keys for each of the papers. Candidates should visit the official website- gate.iisc.ac.in . to check and download the GATE answer key. The GATE answer key will be available in pdf format.
At first, the authority will release the GATE preliminary answer key, which can be challenged if the candidates find any answer is incorrectly marked. As per the timetable, the candidates will be able to raise objections between February 22 to 25, 2024. Post that, no further request of raising the GATE preliminary answer key objection will be entertained.

The mode of downloading the GATE answer key 2024 is online. There will be no other mode of receiving the GATE answer key, neither at the registered email addresses nor they will get any notification at their mobile number on the same. Check out the steps of downloading the GATE answer key here.

- Click on the “To view GATE 2024 Question Papers and Answer keys, click here” link, which will be found on the official website.
- Candidates will be redirected to a new window, where they will need to enter the enrollment ID and password.

GATE Answer Key 2024: Steps to Calculate Score
With the help of the GATE answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate the score and predict their result before releasing it. For the same, the candidates should know about the GATE 2024 marking scheme, which has been highlighted here in the following section.
For MCQs:
- 1 and 2 marks will be given for every 1 and 2 marked questions respectively
- 1/3 and 2/3 marks will be deducted for every 1 and 2 marked questions respectively
- Total marks (1 mark)= 1 x number of correct attempts – 1/3 x number of wrong attempts
- Total marks (2 marks)= 2 x number of correct attempts – 2/3 x number of wrong attempts
- NAT Marks= Total marks (1 mark)+ total marks (2 marks)
Total obtainable marks= Total marks secured for correct answers – Negative marks for incorrect answers
