India, today, has more than 4000 B-schools to satisfy the demand for business education, as opposed to 600 management institutes offering 70,000 seats in 2000. If all the management institutes are combined, India produces about 200,000 management graduates per year!

In such a scenario, it become really important to give quality management education, as the competition is stiff and demand for good candidates very high. After all, the reputation of the college is at stake.

Silicon India, in its Annual B School Ranking Survey called 'What if not IIMs', ranks GEMS B School, Bangalore in the 18th position nationally and in the 7th position in South India.

Silicon India Education’s survey primarily focuses on helping a student identify top management schools in India. The list has been drawn up by Silicon India Education basis rigorous research chipping in with the objective of helping students make the right decision without going through this complex process.

This list segregates B-Schools into various categories, thereby aiding students in choosing the school meets their needs best.

This list is made using a methodology, which many research experts have used over the last decade. The survey also represents the viewpoints of several renowned and experienced business leaders from the industry. While the survey is conducted on the basis of nominations received from the institutes, they have been evaluated and shortlisted by a panel of educationalists, HR recruiters, and the Silicon India Education based on the data inputs provided by the institutes.
