GITAM Institute of Technology functioning under GITAM University located at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh has announced application dates for its UG courses in engineering – B. Tech & B. Tech in Biotechnology.
GITAM University will conduct the GITAM GAT 2017 for admission to B. Tech & M. Tech programmes as well as Pharmacy courses across its campuses in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. GITAM Admission Test (GAT) is conducted across multiple cities via a computer based online test conducted for admission to UG & PG Technology & Pharmacy Programs in GITAM University.

Application Process for GITAM GAT 2017:
- Candidates can choose to fill application forms for GITAM GAT 2017 online or offline mode
- For offline application, candidates will need to procure the admission form from Director – Admissions by sending a request on a plain paper with candidate’s name & address with a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 150, drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam at Union Bank of India, Indian Bank and Karur Vysya Bank.
Eligibility Criteria for GITAM GAT 2017:
- Minimum Class 12 Pass or equivalent from a recognized board / university in the academic year 2016
- Student should have scored minimum 60% in Chemistry, Physics & Biology/ Mathematics
- For Pharmacy & Architecture courses, minimum marks to be obtained at 10+2 level is 50%
- Students currently in Class 12 with the passing year as 2017 are also eligible
- Students interested in Architecture will need to qualify NATA or JEE Main

Admit Card for GITAM 2017:
Students giving GITAM GAT can download their hall ticket by putting information like application number, gender and date of birth on the official website. On the day of the examination, they will need to bring the two copies of the admit card along with one identity proof.

GITAM GAT 2017 Admission & Counselling Process:
- Students giving the GAT 2017 exam will be able to see the result immediately on their screen after completion of GITAM GAT exam
- Result displayed will include - total number of correct answers, total number of incorrect answers and the total scores obtained by the candidate
- Student’s rank will be announced within 10 days from the completion of test
- Merit list will be based on the student’s score in the GITAM GAT entrance test
- Shortlisted students will need to download Counseling Call Letter from the official website and attend the online counseling process at counseling centres of GITAM University
