GITAM University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) on 2 May 2018.
As part of the MoU, both the institutes will introduce M.Tech in Electronics Design and Technology (EDT) . The programme will offer 25 seats and the admission to the postgraduate programme will be on the basis of GITAM Admission Test. C-DAC will provide faculty training and necessary guidelines for the new M.Tech programme. It will also explore the opportunities related to placements to provide M.Tech (EDT) students with relevant career opportunities.

E Magesh, Director C-DAC Hyderabad addressed the audience on the occasion and talked about how C-DAC has been engaged in multiple areas of ICTE. C-DAC has had several engagements in the past but their main focus area has been high-performance in computing, data security, software technologies, grid computing, cyber security, cyber forensics and multilingual computing. The event was attended by Prof MS Prasada Rao, GITAM Vice-Chancellor, M. Potharaju, GITAM Registrar and others.

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management is popularly known as GITAM University . It is an institute which offers higher education and has three campuses across the country in the cities of Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Visakhapatnam. It is also the first private engineering institute in the state of Andhra Pradesh to get university status. The main campus of the university is located in Visakhapatnam and is spread over 100 acres.
