The Andhra Pradesh government has awarded gold Medals to several meritorious medical students of Andhra Pradesh on 20-April-2016. The medals were awarded to the MBBS students of the academic year 2010-2015. A total number of 5 students from Vijayawada and Guntur were awarded Gold medals. The medals were awarded by Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr.N.Chandra Babu Naidu. The awards ceremony was held at ACA Function hall, Vijayawada. The ceremony was attended by Cabinet ministers, Pratipatti Pulla Rao, and Uma Maheswara Rao.
A total number of 30 medical students were awarded Gold medals who have given outstanding performance in Academics.
The following Medical students from Vijayawada and Guntur secured gold Medals:-
- Dr.B.Srilekha – Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada
- Dr.Nikitha – Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada
- Dr.B.Lakshmi Parvathi – Guntur Medical College , Guntur
- Dr.L.Prasanth – NRI Medical college , Guntur
- Dr,Aadhi Lakshmi – Kaaturu Medical College, Guntur
Addressing the students’ Honorable Chief Minister said, “The medical students must possess positive approach and patience. They have to provide quality services to the people”. He congratulated the students who won Gold medals and greeted then to have a bright career.
Dr.B.Srilekha and Dr.Nikitha said, “Their main motive is to serve the people of rural areas as well as poor and needy”.
