Almost after 20 years, government schools across the country have recorded the best results in CBSE Class 12 exams 2018. Over 90% of students from government schools cleared the board exams. CBSE government schools located in Delhi recorded the highest pass percentage. For the second time, Delhi government schools outperformed private schools in CBSE Class 12 board exams . The CBSE 12th results were announced on 26th May 2018. Meghna Srivastava from Noida school emerged as the CBSE topper .
Education Minister of Delhi, Mr. Manish Sisodia congratulated the students and teachers in government schools for this great achievement. The overall pass percentage of students in government schools at Delhi stood at 90.64%, which was 2.37% higher than the previous year. On the other hand, 88.35% students from independent schools (private) passed the CBSE Class 12 board exams this year.

As per the official information disclosed by CBSE and Directorate of Education (DoE), government schools bagged a higher pass percentage this year than private schools . The government schools have been working hard over the last three years to achieve better results. These schools also conducted extra classes for Class 12 students with an aim to achieve a healthy pass percentage.
Compared to the previous year, the number of students who secured 95% marks in Class 12 board exams dropped by 89.

Government Girls Senior Secondary School was happy with the highest pass percentage of 91.5%. Teachers’ hard work and constant support from government enabled the students to achieve good results in board exams. Prince Kumar, the son of a bus driver stood as topper of the school by securing 485 out of 500 marks.
