Great Lakes Institute of Management which is located in Chennai and Gurgaon has collaborated with Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago to offer a specialised management programme, i.e., MBA in Technopreneurship.
Bala.V.Balachandran, Founder & Chairman of Great Lakes Institute of Management revealed that it is the first B-School in the country which has come up with an exclusive programme for Technopreneurship. Today, digital and IoT advancements are taking place in the field of entrepreneurship and courses like MBA in Technopreneurship will make the students compete globally.

The unique feature of the programme is that the students will receive a Certification in Technopreneurship after the completion of the course and these students will also have a chance to enroll for AACSB accredited, full-fledged MBA programme in Technopreneurship for Senior Executive Level at IIT Chicago.
The programme will commence in the month of August 2017, and the participants of the course will spend four weeks at the Great Lakes Institute of Management campus and then proceed to IIT Chicago for further classes. These students will stay in IIT Chicago for six weeks. The students will be involved in industrial visits where they will be able to meet startup gurus to foster and exchange ideas.

Mr. Balachandran clarified that the fee for MBA in Technopreneurship is Rs. 19,70,000. The course is divided into three semesters: -
- Fall Semester (Mid-August to December)
- Spring Semester (December 2017 to Mid-May 2018)
- Summer Semester (May and June 2018)
