Great Lakes Institute of Management will launch the Centre for Women Leadership under the mentorship of its associate professor, K Rajeshwari. The announcement by made by the Dean, Suresh Ramanathan, at the inauguration of the Women’s Week Leadership Conclave - # ChoosetoChallenge (The Status Quo) on the campus on March 4, 2022. This was the institute's first live event after the pandemic..
Ramanathan, while announcing the launch of the Centre for Women Leadership stated, “We are proud to announce that we will be starting the Centre for Women Leadership at Great Lakes Institute of Management. The centre will provide a pathway for women to get back into the workforce. It will be a certification program in association with corporate learning and development.”

He added that centre will not only impart functional skills but also take measures to enhance self-confidence and psychological boosting of women. Along with that, mentorship will also be provided by the corporate leadership and institute’s alumni. They will also try and incorporate sensitivity training and gender role debiasing in the curriculum as that aligns with the principles of the institute that are being inclusive, diversity of thought, and opportunity for all.
Ranjini Manian, founder chair, Championwoman, and keynote speaker mentioned while sharing her remarkable journey of evolving from a cultural ambassador and successful entrepreneur to a philanthropist and author. She stated, “It is important that we are rooted in India and soar around the world and this is exactly what Great Lakes Institute of Management does.”
