Gujarat Technological University (GTU) to Organise Placement Fair for Pharmacy Students

Gujarat Technological University (GTU) is going to organise 7 ^th Centralised Placement Fair for Pharmacy. Students who are pursuing final-year M.Pharma/ B.Pharma/ D.Pharma courses are eligible to participate in the job fair.

The placement drive will take place at GTU Chandkheda Campus on May 12 and May 13, 2018. A total number of 70 companies will be participating in the placement fair and the number of job offers is expected to be around 1,000. As per the strategic planning of GTU, students will receive a job offer within one week of completion of final exams.

Popular and top companies across the country will take part in the placement fair. This year, over 1,750 B.Pharma, 320 D.Pharma and 400 M.Pharma students are expected to pass out from GTU by May-June 2018. All these students will take part in the placement drive.

With a motive to help the students bag jobs, GTU had recorded different sessions of pre-placement workshops by eminent subject experts. Students can go through these video sessions as per their convenience on YouTube.

As per the arrangements made by GTU, each student will get a chance to face interview for at least 10 companies. The varsity has divided the 70 companies that will participate in placements into five broad categories. It is the responsibility of students to choose two preferences from each group.

Centre for Pharmaceutical Studies and Drug Delivery Technology – GTU had successfully organised six centralised placement fairs for pharmacy students. The centre is hoping a better placement percentage this year.
