The syndicate meeting recently reached a decision to allow the students to apply online for the college where they want to get admission. The centralized admission was a time-consuming process which led to delay in commencing the courses on time. They also decided to form a committee to look into the online admission process for the UG programmes conducted by Gujarat University. However, the professional programmes whose admission process is conducted by Admission Committee for Professional Courses will continue to have centralized admissions.

It has also approved the 127 crore budget along with a 6 crore deficit. GU has proposed to introduce two new postgraduate courses in diet, fitness sports and others. They have also decided to redeem the university’s fixed deposits due to the delay in the flow of grants from the state government.
