NEW DELHI: Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has announced that the Gujarat Common Entrance Exam (GUJCET) 2022 exam will be held on April 18, 2022, from 10 am to 4 pm. Candidates have to answer questions related to four subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. Where, both Chemistry and Physics will be combined tests, and the time duration of the paper will be 120 minutes. On the other hand, the duration of the other two papers will be 60 minutes each. The candidates have to attend 40 MCQs on each subject.

GUJCET 2022 exam to be held on April 18, 2022

The GUJCET 2022 exam will be conducted to fill the vacancies of 1.8 lakh candidates both for groups A and B. Usually, the GUJCET exam is commenced in May, nonetheless, this year the GUJCET exam will be held a bit earlier. The GUJCET 2022 exam will be conducted after one week of completing the HSC exam so that the admission process can be started early.

According to the latest update, there are approximately 60,000 seats available for the engineering course, whereas approximately 6,000 seats are available for the pharmacy course. For completing the admission process, 60% of total scores in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and 40% of the JUJCET score will be considered.

GUJCET 2022 exam pattern

The major highlights of the GUJCET 2022 exam pattern are:

  • GUJCET exam is a pen and paper-based exam
  • The exam will be commenced in Hindi, English, and Gujarati languages
  • A total of 120 questions will be answered in GUJCET 2022 exam
  • Total marks: 120
  • Total duration of time is 3 hours
  • The candidates will get 1 mark for every correct answer and a deduction of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer
  • No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions
