Hans Raj College will create history. At the celebration of its 69th Foundation Day, an alumnus of the college and industrialist, Naveen Jindal has declared that the college will hoist the National Flag of India at the campus. He also added that Hans Raj College will become the first college of Delhi University to do so.

Naveen Jindal was among the distinguished alumni that were felicitated by the college on the Foundation Day. On receiving the award, he addressed the gathering and enlightened the students about the campaign that they have started in order to hoist the national flag. He also added that it was after a struggle of ten long years that they were given the right to hoist the national flag every day be it in the workplace, home or educational institutions.Addressing the acting principal Rama Sharma, he said that Rama ma'am had asked whether they could hoist the national flag in the premises of Hans Raj as well and has been working hard to make this possible before January 26, 2017.
