The Haryana Government is planning to open nursing schools in 6 districts of the state. Anil Viji , Medical Education Minister also said that these colleges would be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar . The information was tweeted by the Directorate of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department (DIPR), Haryana.
During a Vidhan Sabha session for H aryana Budget 2022 , Vij stated that the government has laid out an action plan for a new nursing policy. The news policy would ensure that these colleges would have 100 bedded hospital or there should be a nursing college within a 10 KM radius of the hospital under the aegis of a NABH certified hospital . The capacity of such hospital should be 100 beds.
Last month, the Chief Minister had said that the government will establish hospitals of 200 bed capacity in each district of Haryana to make healthcare affordable and accessible for all the residents. According to his statement, one of the hospitals would be built at IMT Manesar in 10 acres of land with the cost of 500 crores . The nursing colleges would be built in 5 acres .
The state houses 2 hospitals, PGI Rohtak and Nalhad Medical College , both of them having 500 beds each and another hospital with 600 beds in Badsa . The Haryana government has also set up a helpdesk at the Mumbai airport to help students belonging to the state who have gone to study in Ukraine. Till now, the government ad been able to connect with 700 students out of 1786 and 90 have been brought from the war-stricken Ukraine Safely under Operation Ganga .
