The HRD Ministry has given relief to the NEET-II candidates who have applied for the examination but unable to pay the entrance fee. These candidates will be allowed to write the examination which is scheduled to be held on 24-July-2016. The examination is being conducted to seek the admission into medical and dental colleges. These candidates will be taken into consideration based on NEET-I score.
This decision has been taken after Esha Nitin Kedia , a NEET aspirant missed the deadline to pay the fee approached the HRD Minster. The Minister gave a positive response.
For the candidates who paid the fee for NEET-II and could not appear for the test will be taken into account based on NEET-I score and it will be looked by an Oversight Committee. The committee comprises of R.M Lodha, Chief Justice and Vinod Rai, Former CAG.
The ministry has also approved three Kendriya Vidyalayas. Two KV’s will be set up in Uttar Pradesh in the constituency of Sonia Gandhi. Another KV will be set up in Tekanpur, Madhya Pradesh.
The ministry has also taken the decision about the loan interest subvention scheme for IIT students. According to the decision, the candidates who have joined in four years UG or five years integrated program will be paid interest for educational loans by IITs. This facility is applicable only for those candidates whose annual income of the family is below 9 lakh per annum.
