Institute of Charted Accountants of India or ICAI declared the results of CA Final Exam and CPT 2017 on July 18, 2017. This year, Raj Paresh from Dombivali bagged all India 1 st rank by scoring 630 out of 800 marks. Vellore’s Agatiswaran bagged the second rank with 75.25 percent followed by Mumbai’s Krishna Pawan Gupta with 75.13 percent. Congratulating the toppers and successful candidates, President of ICAI, Mr. Nilesh Vikramsey quoted that there is no short cut to achieving success as it needs a lot of dedication, hard work and study. One must love what he does to succeed in their career.

Mr. Vikramsey further indicated that the nation is optimistic with respect to the quality of Charted Accountants. Professionals in this field are multidimensional and capable of handling corporate dynamics. He advised the students to be truthful, honest, polite and humble. One must respect one’s character first and then achievements, he added.

Highlights of the Results: -
- This year, out of 1,32,007 candidates registered for CA Final exam, 88,916 candidates appeared for the examination.
- Among them, 49,950 were male candidates out of which 19,961 candidates qualified the examination. The overall pass percentage for males is 39.96 percent.
- A total number of 38,966 female candidates appeared for the CA Final examination and 16,607 cleared it. The overall pass percentage of the female candidates is 41.23 percent.
Usually, CA examinations take place twice a year, i.e., May/June and November/December. This year, CA Final examination took place in 372 centres.
