With most parts of the country on lockdown amid COVID-19 scares, students across India have been raising queries on whether the ICAI CA May 2020 exams will still be conducted as per schedule. On this, the ICAI has released an official notice regarding the postponement of the CA May 2020 exams.
The ICAI or Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has released a statement on the official website of the institute announcing that to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 in the country, all CA Exams scheduled between 2nd May 2020 to 18th May 2020 have been rescheduled. As per the notification published on the official website, the ICAI CA May 2020 exams will now be conducted between 19th June 2020 and 4th July 2020.

The ICAI has also announced that facilities such as e-learning, video lectures as well as relaxations in GMCS/ITT, whose May 2020 attempts are currently being affected. Further ICAI has requested all students to check the official website of the Institute in order to check for any updates regarding the exams.

Earlier, on postponing or rescheduling of the exams, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India stated that due to the vagueness of the situation, no decision will be made regarding the same. They had claimed that a decision will be made on the topic once all the information regarding the situation is clear.

Further, the institute has advised and suggested that the students take the time and prepare for the examinations as the institute will conduct the examination at some point.
