ICSI Adds 45 New Exam Centres for CS December Exams

ICSI has decided to add 45 new examination centers across the country for the CS December Exams following the COVID-19 protocol. The facility to change the exam centers will be available from Sept 26 to Oct 9, 2020.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has decided to add 45 new examination centres across the country for the Company Secretary (CS) exam which is scheduled to take place from 21st December to 30th December 2020. The decision to introduce additional exam centres has been taken following the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and protocol of social distancing. The move will ensure the safety of the students and will overcrowding during the exams.

CS Ashish Garg, President, ICSI informed that additional exam centres for CS December Exams will keep a check on overcrowding. As of now, there are 172 examination centres for approximately 1 lakh candidates appearing in the Foundation/Executive/ Professional CS Examination. The decision to add exam centres came up keeping in mind the guidelines issued by UGC for conducting the exams amidst the pandemic.

Out of the 45 New CS Exam Centres, 19 centres are in new states so that the candidates do not have to travel from there current location and the remaining 26 centres are in cities such as Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane as these cities require more centres as the number of examinees in these cities is very high.

ICSI will also provide the students with the facility to change the exam centres. Those appearing in the CS December Exams can change the exam centres by visiting the official website icsi.edu. The facility to change the exam centre will be available from September 26 to October 9, 2020
