IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) has launched Bachelor of Preparatory Programme (BPP) for January 2018 session. For the first time, BPP course has been initiated through CSCs (Common Service Centres) across the country.
About IGNOU BPP Course: -
- According to the official information disclosed by IGNOU, BPP is a non-formal course and qualifying the same will make the candidates eligible for Bachelor in Tourism Studies, Bachelor in Social Work, Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts.
- BPP course can be quite beneficial for the candidates who do not possess mandatory qualifications of 10+2.
- Without 10+2, the candidates could not take up higher studies.
- Therefore, IGNOU has come up with BPP course to meet this gap.
- No prior formal education is required to take up BPP course.
- The duration of the course is six months and it could be completed within a period of two years.
- The BPP course will be available in nine languages including Gujarati, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Oriya and English.
