The M.Phil and Ph.D. entrance exam results of Indira Gandhi National Open University are now available on its official website. Candidates who appeared for the IGNOU entrance exam seeking admission in research programmes offered by the varsity can now check the results. IGNOU had conducted entrance exam for M.Phil and Ph.D. courses on August 20, 2017.
Not all the candidates who qualify in the entrance test will be given admission to research programmes offered by IGNOU. Candidates who score 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in entrance test will be called for an interview conducted by the respective Schools of IGNOU. The final admission to the IGNOU research programmes will be based on the collective performance in the entrance test and interview.

How to Check M.Phil and Ph.D. Entrance Test Results of IGNOU?
- Official website of IGNOU is the only gateway for checking the entrance exam results of M.Phil and Ph.D. courses.
- After opening the website, click on ‘Results’ link on the homepage.
- A list of results or updates of various courses will be displayed on a new page.
- Look for the link that indicates M.Phil and Ph.D. entrance test results.
- A new tab will be displayed on the screen where the candidates need to enter their nine-digit enrolment number.
- Check the result by submitting the enrollment number.
- Take the printout of result sheet.
