Interestingly, the collaboration will play a significant role in arranging around 2 lakh Common Service Centres to act as a single contact point for all the digital support services of Indira Gandhi National Open University. The initiative taken by IGNOU will be highly beneficial to the students living in rural areas. Similarly, the initiative will act as an alternative digital help desk to urban and semi-urban students.
Through this collaboration, IGNOU is also trying to digitize the study materials or learning resources. Students will be able to access these digital learning resources at Common Service Centres which will be acquainted with digital support services offered to students. IGNOU will also organise a series of workshops for Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs).
