The final placements at IIM Ahmedabad for the PGP batch of 2017 have begun. The first cluster of the final placement was conducted on Monday, February 14, 2017, at the campus of the reputed b-school.
Many reputed organisations participated in the first cluster. All these comprised of three units i.e. investment banking and markets; venture capital & hedge funds and management consulting & private equity.
According to the statement released by the placement cell of IIM Ahmedabad, active participation was seen on campus. Some of the companies that participated were Goldman Sachs, McKinsey & Company, Credit Suisse, Bain & Co., JP Morgan, Accenture Strategy, Oliver Wyman and A.T. Kearney.

The statement also mentioned that the presence of such reputed names proves the strength of IIM-A’s general management programme.
The highest number of offers were made by McKinsey & Company. The company offered 15 jobs in the first cluster. Various roles were offered by finance companies in the domain of investment banking, venture capital, capital markets and private equity.
IIM-A has a record of attractive placements with an exceptionally rich mix of companies from different domains. Various offers were also rolled out by consulting firms across geographies.

The second cluster of the final placement at IIM-A will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017. More than 110 companies participated in the campus placement of IIM Ahmedabad in 2016. Close to 100 students had then opted for their dream applications in order to build their careers in the sectors where they wish to work.
