The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) has decided to increase the fees of its postgraduate programmes courses by up to 5%. The same was discussed at a board meeting on Saturday and the proposal has been sent to the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) for approval, sources said.
This decision of increasing the fees will include three flagship courses, namely the postgraduate programme in management (PGP), PGP agri-business management (PGP-ABM) and PGP for Executives (PGPX). The PGP and PGP-ABM fees will likely be hiked from Rs 18.5 lakh to around Rs 19.5 lakh.
The PGPX fee will likely be increased from Rs 24 lakh to around 25 lakh. IIM-A had increased fees for its various PGP programmes for the 2015-17 batches, just two years ago.
