The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad successfully conducted its convocation on March 25, 2017. Students of the passing batch were awarded their diplomas and were given business insights by experts in the field.
A total of 554 IIM Ahmedabad students graduated this year. Students along with their families attended the 52 nd convocation ceremony of the prestigious institute.
Shikha Sharma, CEO and Managing Director of Axis Bank Ltd. addressed the students and said that India is on the rise and this is the opportunity to regain the position in global economic production. She added that it is time for India to grow in different fields including trade, culture, innovation and arts.

Shikha – an alumnus of the IIM Ahmedabad – was visiting her alma mater after 37 years. She shared her experiences with the students and said that the rate of change has been increasing continuously, therefore, there is a need to enhance the effectiveness of response strategies.
She also added that a larger number of variables play an essential role and they must be clearly read to come up with good results.

Chairman of Board of Governors, IIM Ahmedabad, Kumar Mangalam Birla also addressed the students and told them that they have entered into the field where rapid change is inevitable. He urged the students to work hard so as to overcome the competition. He said that the business world is full of challenges and one needs to strive at every point in order to succeed.
