Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad hosted the 43 rd annual conference for the Partnership in International Management (PIM) - an association of leading international business schools at IIM-A campus from October 10-12, 2016. The theme of the conference was ‘Inclusive Growth and Management Education. It was a three-day conference which was inaugurated by Ashish Nanda, Director of IIM-A. Discussions were held on various themes like crisis management, education in Asia, India’s competitive position in the global economy and others.

The conference was attended by 90 participants from 50 countries. IIM-A has been the member of PIM since 1998. Institutes likes IIM-Bangalore and Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad are also the members of PIM. The primary objective of PIM is to build international cooperation among members, students and faculty exchange, fostering the development of joint programs, cooperation among faculty members and researchers and joint research.
The major highlight of the conference was sharing of experiences of exchange council of IIM-A and ‘market place’ where the partners met and discussed the new decisions/problems regarding their future proposals.

Other governance issues were also taken up at the conference which included admissions to new member schools and future strategy of PIM for the coming years.
