IIM Ahmedabad will conduct a fully residential programme for newly qualified CAs (Charted Accountants) from April 07 to May 11, 2019. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and IIM-A to provide management training to the Chartered Accountants. Interested candidates can visit the official website of IIM Ahmedabad to register for the programme. The fee for the one-month residential programme offered by IIM Ahmedabad for newly qualified CAs is Rs. 3.5 lakh.
According to an official statement released regarding the MoU, IIM-A and ICAI will 'create and co-host open enrolment and customised training programmes exclusively for CAs'.

Candidates participating in this residential programme will get an idea about the technology, business practices, emerging concepts and the role these things play when it comes to operational excellence.
Naveen ND Gupta, President, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) said that the association will showcase a new aspect when it comes to management education and accounting in India. The courses offered under the MoU will give opportunities to the CAs to improve their management skills, which are essential for key positions in industry and business.

IIM Ahmedabad is a premier management institute, which is highly ranked. It is the first management school in India to be awarded the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). It is also one of the toughest B-schools to get into. It has a rigorous selection process and the admission process includes appearing for the CAT exam and personal interview rounds. Candidates are selected on the basis of CAT score, performance in the interview and also on the basis of their past academic performance.
