The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) will be increasing the fee of its Post Graduate Programme (PGP) from the academic session of 2019-2021 onwards. The Board of Governors approved this revised fee on 16th March 2019, Saturday. The fee for the flagship two years long Post-Graduate Programme in Management will now be Rs. 23 lakh. It is increased by around 4.5 per cent from the earlier fee which was Rs. 22 lakh.
Errol D’Souza, the Director of IIM Ahmedabad, said that this hike was made in line with inflation and the revised fee will be applicable from the academic year 2019.

D’Souza said that similar revision has been made in the fee for Post Graduate Programme for Executives (PGDX). This announcement was made on the sidelines of the 54th convocation ceremony of IIM Ahmedabad.
According to the newly formed IIT Act, the institute granted its students the masters degree in business administration in the convocation ceremony. The students of all three programmes, namely the Post Graduate Programme in Food and Agribusiness Management (PGP-FABM), Post Graduate Programme in Management and Post Graduate Programme for Executives, were given their degrees.

A total of 593 students were awarded their MBA degrees at the Louis Kahn Plaza of the IIM Ahmedabad campus. Out of them, 398 students were from the PGP batch, 45 students were from the two year batch of PGP-FABM and 137 students were from the year-long batch of PGPX.
Kumar Mangalam Birla, who is the Chairman of the Board of Governors, addressed the students and said that we all should accept our mistakes, take corrective measures and learn from it. We should not live in denial and should not let our mistakes cripple us.
