Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) has successfully wrapped up the summer placement session 2020-21. Amidst the COVID-19 chaos, the institute managed to record 100 per cent. All the 525 students of IIM Bangalore have been hired by 139 top-notch firms.
The placement session of IIM Bangalore saw the participation of renowned multinational companies such as KPMG, Deloitte USI, Boston Consulting Group, PwC India and McKinsey. As per the reports, out of a total of 529 offers, 144 were from consulting agencies, 95 were from the Sales and Marketing firms, 93 were from the IT sector, 81 offers were for General Management roles and 71 were from the Banking sector. Apart from the aforementioned traditional firms, 27 offers were made in the operations sector including recruiters such as NatWest Group, Uber and DEC Industries and 18 offers were made by the analytics firms including Accenture Strategy, American Express and MCA Consulting.

Keep in view the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the entire placement procedure was conducted through an online mode. IIM Bangalore commenced its placement session from November. The first batch of students in the PGP-BA or Post Graduate Program in Business Analytics & Business Intelligence programme received job opportunities or offers from 25 companies including CitiBank, Alvarez and Marsel, Amazon and PayU.

The Chairperson of Career Development Services, IIM Bangalore, Mr Dinesh Kumar said that all 525 aspirants, including PGP BA and PGP students, were placed in well-known firms in less than a week of starting the process.
Along with IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta and IIM Ahmedabad also achieved 100% placements .
