Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore has bagged the prestigious EQUIS Accreditation for five years. The institute made the announcement through an official press release. As per EQUIS, five-year accreditation is the highest, and it is conferred to the institute which excels in education standards, research and internationalization. IIM-B has been successful in all the three parameters.
The EQUIS Accreditation Board has taken the note of quality of education that is being maintained in the premier institute along with close connections with the Indian government and business, highly-ranked management programmes, the success of IIM-B's graduates in the career. Finally, EQUIS termed IIM-Bangalore as the outstanding campus in Bangalore which is regarded as India's high technology capital.

EQUIS is known as EFMD Quality Improvement System which is a global accreditation system. The primary responsibility of EQUIS is to specialise the institutes of higher education which are run by European Foundation for Management Development. The main aim of EQUIS is to improve the standards is management education across the world.
David M. Saunders, Chairman of EQUIS, mentioned that the accreditation team had been impressed by the performance of institute in various parameters.

R. Srinivasan, Director-Incharge of IIM-B expressed that the five-year EQUIS accreditation reveals the world-class quality education that is being provided at the institute. He assured that IIM-B would achieve high rankings and fame in the coming years.
Recently, IIM-B has emerged as the top institute in Central Asia in Eduniversal rankings. It also bagged 19th rank in Financial Times Rankings.
