An International Conference was organised by Indian Institute of Management Bangalore(IIM-B) in collaboration with Toulouse Business School (TBS), France on Friday, 23rd of Feb 2019. The motive of the conference was to discuss the ‘Future of Aviation and Aerospace’ . The International Conference was inaugurated by Bombardier of Commercial Aircraft Mr. Ajay Mehra, also by the Dean of TBS France, Professor Francois Bonvalet, joined by the Director of IIM-Bangalore, Dr. Raghunath S and Dr. Christophe Benaroya from Toulouse Business School, France.
At the inauguration, Prof. Director G. Raghuram mentioned in his video message about the need to study aviation to make it more serviceable and secured by proper means.
IIM-B has organized this international conference for the second consecutive year. It was started last year. ‘Aero India’ is an aviation event which marks the presence of several executives from major aviation companies. General Management Programme for Aerospace Executive(GMAE) alumni of IIM Bangalore participated in the event.

Mr. Ajay Mehra mentioned that ' Protectionism’ is a huge issue in the field of aviation. There is a lack of properly established institutes of aviation, which is becoming a hurdle for protectionism. Professor S Raghunath highlighted the collaboration of IIM-Bangalore and TBS France in International Conference of IIM-B, which has increased the professional-managerial talent in Indian Aerospace.
Professor Christophe Benaroya emphasised on the fact that it is important to understand the market before catering service to the market. All the notable dignitaries of both the institute focused on the upcoming advancement of the aviation industry during the event.

In the end, Prof. Francois also mentioned gratitude and expressed that through this conference they have been able to cater to the skill set required by the students to place them in eminent companies like Jet Airway, Etihad Airways etc.
